Dr. Helen C. Parcon and Dr. Ma. Milagros C. Laurel attended the Seventh Conference of the Pan-Asian Consortium of Language Teaching Societies (PAC7) that was
held concurrently with the 34th International Conference on Language Teaching and Learning of the Japan Association for Language Teaching (JALT).
The PAC7 at JALT2008, which had for its theme "Sharing Identities: Our Interweaving Threads," was held at the National Olympics Memorial Youth Center in Tokyo from October 31 to November 3, 2008.
Dr. Parcon spoke at the Asia Forum on "English as a common language: Embracing diversity." Meanwhile, as PALT's featured speaker, Dr. Laurel delivered a paper on "Kimono to cheongsam: Learning the English language" and another on "Sharing identities through instructional materials."
